Early Life
William was born on 30th September 1954 inCalifornia. He has two siblings, and he is the youngest of all. William’s fatherwas Frank Millar Blenkhorn and mother Doris May Moore. The singer is of German, Scottish and English ancestry. He was born in Santa Monica but grew up along with his siblings in California.
Since his childhood, he was fond of acting and has always wanted to become an actor. For the first time in the year 1967, he made the first television debut by creating an episode named “Christmas” of Dragnet 1967. He has appeared in many TV series, including Mission: Impossible, Here Come the Brides, the Scrivener, Gomer Pyle USMC and Bartleby, Adam-12, That Girl, The Invades, and The Mod Squad. After being cast in these TV series, he then appeared on The Brady Bunch.

Career Beginnings
Other than appearing in guest roles on TV series in 1974, Barry also got involved in musical theatre and has been with many productions like West Side Story, Grease, and The Sound of Music.Williams also emerged in Romance/Romance with Alison Fraser, a Tony Award-nominee. William appeared in multiple reunions of Brady Bunch TV movie and “A Very Brady Christmas,” the 1988 Christmas movie.
With his role in the Brady Bunch TV movie as Greg Brady, he was honored with Young Artist Foundation with the Former Child Star “Lifetime Achievement” Award. In 1992, he wrote an autobiography entitled “Growing Up Brady: I Was A Teenage Greg,” which was co-written by Chris Kreski. It became the Bestseller of the New York Times in which Adam Brody was cast as Williams.
In 2020, Williams rose to fame by singing a parody of Eminem by changing its name to “The Real Greg Brady,” and Eminem’s was “The Real Slim Shady.” This parody was co-written by Jay Gilbert, David Brody, and Williams. He also made numerous appearances as a remunerated featured dancer in New York at World’s Largest Disco in Buffalo. He appeared in Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star in 2003.
Dispute of Actors’ Equity Association
Actors’ Equity Association charged a fine of $52000 to Williams in January 2001. William filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board, disputing that the fine was illegal. He argued that in September 2000, he already resigned from the union. On the other hand, Equity claimed that Williams was an existing member of the union.
Actors’ Equity reinstated Williams as a member of the union in 2005 after Williams unionized the production of Non-Equity of A Christmas Carol in 2004.
