His full name is Bernard Whalen Convy, and he moved to Los Angeles with his family when he was merely seven years old. He started his education at the North Hollywood High School and was an all-around athlete at that time. When he was 17, he was offered a contract by the Philadelphia Phillies, and he played the Minor League baseball with the team for two years. In the late 1950s, he joined a vocal band known as ‘The Cheers’ and created a Top 10 hit song in the year 1955, which was called; ‘Black Denim Trousers and Motorcycle Boots. After playing for two seasons, Bert embarked on his career in the entertainment industry, and he first appeared in the Billy Barnes Revues in the year 1950 and 1960. He worked in numerous TV shows, films, and other projects such as Susan Slade by Warner Bros, Fiddler on the Roof, The Impossible Years, etc. He also worked in the Love of life, in which he played the role of Glenn Hamilton, who was a rapist.
