Early life
Bill Paxton’s real name is William Paxton, and he was born in Fort Worth, Texas. His father, John Lane Paxton, was a businessman, and his mother’s name was Mary Lou, and she was a Roman Catholic. Bill was a part of the crowd that was gathered outside the Hotel Texas, from where John F. Kennedy emerged in the morning of his assassination in 1963. There is a picture of Paxton being lifted in the crowd, and it is showcased in the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas. Bill got graduated from the Arlington Heights High School in 1973 and then went to Richmond College, England, for further studies. Later, he shifted to Los Angeles and started working in the props and art departments. He applied to several film schools but never got accepted, which made him shift his focus towards acting.
Career beginning
Bill started his career as an actor at a young age as his first role was a small role in the 1984 film; The Terminator. He also played the role of a bartender in the Streets of Fire. He also directed a couple of short films, and one of them was the music video, ‘Fish Heads,’ which was launched on the 1980-81 season of Saturday Night Live. In 1982, he formed a music band named Martini Ranch. He also launched a full-length album under Sire Records which was produced by Bob Casale. In the early 1980s, he worked in several movies such as Stripe and some of Arnold’s movies such as The Terminator, Commando, etc. He also appeared with Cameron in ‘Aliens’ and also won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor for his amazing performance.
IN the 2000s, he worked in a massive number of films starting from U-571 in 2000, Frailty, Thunderbirds, Nightcrawler. One of the most incredible T.V. performances came in 2006 when he played the lead role in ‘Big Love,’ and he got three Golden Globe Award nominations for it. In 2014, he portrayed the negative role in ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Along with a small role in Edge of Tomorrow. In 2016, he got the role of a detective in Training Day, which was launched a year later of the announcement.

Personal life
Bill Paxton got married to Kelly Rowan in 1979 but got divorced in 1980. They both have two children, James and Lydia. James also works as an actor. Bill had a damaged heart valve for which he went through open-heart surgery in 2017. But eleven days after the surgery, he suffered from a heart stroke and died.
