Billy Horschel was born in 1986 on 7th December in Grant, Florida. His parents raised him in Florida. Billy completed his higher studies at Bayside High School. He was offered an athletic scholarship, and he accepted the scholarship to complete his further studies at the University of Florida, Gainesville. He used to play for the men’s golf team through his coach Buddy Alexander in the National Collegiate Athletic Association competition for three consecutive years. Billy used to play so well that he was multiple times All-American, including Southeastern Conference player of the year and three team honors in 2007 and 2009.

Horschel completed his graduate studies at the University of Florida by attaining a degree in sports management. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he represented United Stated on two occasions at Palmer Cup by acquiring 4.5 points.

Career Beginning

He started his professional career in 2009. In 2009, he gained a PGA Tour card via qualifying school. While at school, an incident happened where he got a wrist injury that limited him to only four PGA Tours that year, but he attended all four events. In end-2010, he regained the PGA Tour card that allowed him to make tours, but he cut Mayakoba Golf Classic. Billy finished season 14-th on the money list that approved him conditional status.

Horschel even earned a PGA Tour card for 2013. He started the seasons by cutting almost every tournament that he has entered. He earned a second win at the 2014 BMW Championship and achieved 23rs rank in world rankings. The following week, Billy won The Tour Championship and FedEx Cup at East Lake Golf Club. This win moved Billy to 14th in OWGR. After winning the FedEx Cup and Tour Championship, Billy became the father of his first child. In 2017, he won AT&T Byron Nelson, and in 2018, he won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and his partner Scott Piercy.
