Kristen Wiig was born on twenty-second August 1973, and she is a prominent American comedian, actress, and writer. She is originally from New York, and she grew up in the state of Pennsylvania. She then shifted to Los Angeles, where she started appearing in The Groundlings, a comedy troupe. She has also made her breakout on television in the year 2003. She joined the Saturday Night Live cast in 2005, and she appeared in Unaccompanied Minors, a comedy movie, in 2005. Wiig is originally from Canandaigua, and she was born to Laurie Wiig, an artist, and Jon Wiig, a lake marina operator. She also has an older brother named Erik, and the surname of Wiig originates from the Sogn og Fjordane’s neighborhood of Vik. He grew up in Rochester, and his paternal grandfather emigrated from Norway to settle in America. He finally found an opportunity in the Rochester Red Wings broadcast team and became a WHEC, WROC, and WHECTV executive.

Wiig shifted to Pennsylvania at three with her family and studied at the Elementary School of Naitrauer. She has also been to the Manheim Middle School until she was in eighth grade, and then she moved to Rochester at the age of thirteen with her family. She found Improvisation to be a better career choice than acting, and she stayed with the comedy group to polish her skills. She has also made an appearance in The Joe Schmo Show in 2003, which was a spoof of a reality show, and she played the character of a quack marriage counselor named Dr. Pat. She was with a manager who encouraged her to do an audition tape for SNL, and she played the character of Target Lady there. She made her break out in SNL in 2005, on 12^th November.
