In 1982, Reubens started coming in “The Pee-wee Herman Show” based on a character that he was forming for a long time. The show was in the running period for sold-out five months; also HBO came up with a special successful production about the show. The show remained as an on-the-spot band figure. Reubans remained devoted to his character till the next decade and participated in all the interviews by appearing in the Pee-wee character. Tim Burton directed the film “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure,” one of his featured films in 1985 attained a huge critical and monetary success that even got formed in a “cult film.” Later, the film sequel got released in 1988 as “Big Top Pee-wee” that didn’t earn such fame. From 1986 to 1990, Reubens participated in the children’s morning CBS-Saturday program “Pee-wee’s Playhouse” as a Pee-wee. After then, Reubens was seen to take a break from his famed “Pee-wee” character. It was July 1991 when the news was out on Reubens getting arrested due to an unacceptable exposure in a film adult theatre located in Sarasota, Florida.
