The members formed that Band in 1996, and Anthony Santos was the Band’s main inspiration and the cousin of Romey. Their breakout album was released in 1999, and it was produced with the intent to introduce bachata music to the top charts by combining it with R&B and Hip Hop. Their song, Obsesion, was a considerable success in several countries, and they also topped Germany, Italy, and French charts. Aventura also ended up releasing five studio albums to spawn several top ten hits such as CuandoVolveras, UnBeso, Los Infieles, Amor de Madre, Por un Segundo, El Perdeor, and Dile Al Amor among others.
