He is recognized as Veteran Voice of the Octagon. Before his recognition as the announcer, Bruce has learned Tang Soo Do (Black belt) and Judo (Green belt) from Martial arts. Bruce is an American citizen, born in the region of Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States. Michael Buffer is Bruce’s half brother. Both the boy’s grandfather is a famous boxer named Johnny Buff. Michael is an announcer of boxing in a wrestling ring. The Buffer Partnership is the company owned by both Michael and Bruce, in which Bruce is the CEO and President of the company.
While living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bruce was 13-years old and he tried into Martial arts. At the age of 15, Bruce along with his family shifted to Malibu, California.

Career
In California, Bruce took care of by Chuck Norris students. Chuck Norris is a famous Tang Soo Do teacher. Hence, Bruce had the chance of holding a second degree in Tang Soo Do. Bruce became interested in kickboxing and hence started his career as a kickboxer when he was in his twenties. But he was suffering from concussion, a severe brain injury and he left the sport at 32 years full of grief.
Then Bruce kick-started his career as UFC announcer.As Bruce,signals directly across the Octagon even before spinning 180o, Bruce are termed as Buffer 180.In before all the fights, Bruce signaled 45° and 90° turns. For most of the events and co-events, Buffer performed as Buffer 180.
He was encouraged by Joe Rogan at UFC 100 for several months. When Bruce introduced Frank Mir vs. Brock Lesnar, he performed Buffer 360. Bruce is recognized for his Buffer Bow for Randy Couture. Apart from UFC, he has also performed in various International MMA promotions. Bruce performing as a boxing announcer on HBO, K-1 events in the year 2008 that was held between Joel Casamayor vs. Michael Katsidis.
Bruce is also a famous Poker player, who plays internationally. In ESPN’s World Series of Poker Main Events, Bruce had participated.
