Career beginning
Bill Goldberg started his career as a football player as he used to play for the Bulldogs football team of his college, where he played at the position of defensive tackle. Later he was picked in the 11th round by the Los Angeles Rams during the 1990 NFL draft. He played for the team during the 1990 NFL season. In the year 1995, he got cut by the Falcons and got picked by the Carolina Panthers during the NFL expansion draft in 1995. His football career ended after his lower abdomen was torn off his pelvis. He went to rehabilitation but couldn’t recover fully. After retiring from the sport due to injury, he entered the world of professional wrestling and started training at the WCW Power Plant.
