Beth Howland was born in Brighton, Massachusetts, on 28th May 1939. When she was 16 years old, she left home and went to New York City following a friend who was a dancer. Beth’s professional career started in the year 1959 when she made her Broadway debut with the ‘Once Upon a Mattress.’ She also appeared in the movie; ‘Lil’ll Abner’ in which she danced as well as sung. She played the role of Clem’s wife in the movie and was cast alongside the TV superstar; Valerie Harper. After performing incredibly in ‘Company,’ her career took off, and she started getting a lot of work.
