Early Life

Sean Astin was born in 1971 on 25^th February in Santa Monica of California. He is the son of Michael Tell and Patty Duke. Rumors were made, and it was reported that DesiArnaz, an entertainer, was his birth father, and this came to be true. It was also reported that Astin’s mother was sexually involved with Michael Tell, music promoter, published of The Las Vegas Israelite, and a writer.

When Duke got pregnant, she was unaware of Sean’s father, and therefore she proposed to Tell and asked him to marry her and kept herself on the safe side. The bonding between the couple didn’t work out, and therefore their marriage lasted only for 13 days before Sean took birth. Sean got genetic tests to know about his biological father.

He completed his studies at Crossroads High School for Arts and then went to Stella Adler Conservatory of Los Angeles. Sean completed his graduation in Bachelor of Arts in English and History from U.C.L.A.

Astin did his first role in a television movie in 1981 entitled “Please Don’t Hit Me, Mom,” and there he played the role of a kid living with his abusive mother. He appeared in a film debut named The Goonies at a very young age. After doing the film The Goonies, he made his appearance in plenty of films, including The B.R.A.T. Patrol, The War of the Roses, Encino Man, Rudy, White Water Summer, Like Father Like Son, and many more.
